Delete my account

This page explains how to request deletion of your FoodQuest account and the data associated with it. FoodQuest is published by Jerome Sabadini.

1. From the app (immediate)

This is the fastest route, and deletion is immediate and permanent:

Open FoodQuest and sign in.
Go to the Profile tab.
Scroll to the Account section.
Tap Delete my account.
Confirm with your password.

Your password is requested to confirm the request really comes from you. Once confirmed, the operation cannot be undone: your progress, your photos and your purchases cannot be restored.

2. By email (if you have uninstalled the app)

You do not need to reinstall FoodQuest. Write to us:

From your account's email address, so that we can identify you.

Your request is handled within 30 days at most. We confirm the deletion by email.

3. Data that is deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases:

your account: email address, hero name, date of birth, password;
your game profile: level, experience, gold, mana, streak, attributes, skills;
your quests and recipes, their validations and recaps;
your photos of fridge and dishes, including on our file storage;
your ingredient scans;
your in-app purchase history as recorded on our side;
your passport, collections, trophies and banners;
your weekly leaderboard results;
your friends, friend requests and challenges;
any profile reports you submitted;
your session tokens and your push notification token.

4. Data that is kept

After deletion, only the following remains:

Anonymised usage statistics. The link to your account is removed: these events (for example "a quest was completed") can no longer be tied to you or to anyone. They are kept indefinitely in this anonymous form.
Technical logs. Our servers may briefly keep a numeric identifier, with no data that could identify you. They are purged automatically within 12 months.
Your purchase receipts at Google or Apple. They belong to your Google Play or App Store account, not to FoodQuest: we cannot delete them. Please contact the relevant store directly.
